My internship is at Alpha Auto Sales, which sells used and affordable cars to the public and local communities in the general area. My specific job at Alpha Auto Sales is manager of media relations. Primarily, my job is to use social networking and new technologies to advertise and bring more awareness to the community. I usually work six hours, two to three days a week focusing on many aspects of the business.
I do enjoy my internship. Working for Alpha Auto Sales has enlightened me on how important public relations is in the society. In some degree I do believe it is a waste of my time because it is not in the field I really would like to work in. On the hand, I am pleased to learn something new and offer my skills and talents to anyone, who is in need of my assistance. I have learned a lot about buying and selling used cars, and in truth, buying or selling cars is not as easy as everyone’s misconceptions may have you believe it is. Finding a car requires a lot of time and tedious work. From a public relations point of few, I am in the process of completing a communication audit of Alpha Auto Sales.
My goal and job for Alpha Auto Sales is still the same. My goal would be to analyze and achieve my public relation goal., which is to bring more awareness to the business. Finally, after executing my public relations goal I would like to provide evidence to my employer that prove that public relation strategies are necessary.
